The Miracle of Funding

Sketched by Molly Crabapple in celebration of you!

We have funding. And you know what we're doing now? Shopping for gear. Real camera gear. Lights that are made to light sets. Tripods made to hold real cameras. Rigs to make our animation stronger, better, faster. We no longer have to duct tape broken broom handles together to cantilever the camera out over the set to get a boom shot. No, now we get to actually have real grown up gear that is made to do exactly what we want to do.

And that is amazing. Actually truly amazing. Our Kickstarter has afforded us the opportunity of acquiring the tools we need to make our art.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Fund a man (and two women's) Kickstarter and they will make a fantastic stop motion animation. And eat.

Thank you!

Time to Celebrate!

We made it to $14,000! Woohoo! Hooray! Yippee! We are so excited, happy, grateful, and ready to animate!

Kim promised to write a new song if we reached $14,000 so she'll be composing in the next few weeks and then recording some time in the next few months.

As pledges keep coming in, we continue to think of ways to make this project better and better.

Thank you to all of you who have made this possible!

Reached 100% Of First Funding Goal!

"I'm happy because we conceived of a project and realized it and that's beautiful. Getting things done, completing things, keeping your word on all your extravagant promises to the universe: that's magic." - Molly Crabapple

This is amazing. Within only 36 hours we've reached the funding goal we set ourselves! There has been so much heartfelt support coming in from all around the world for this animation, it's truly wonderful.

Tasty Delicious Celebratory Champagne!

We can now start production immediately. This means lots of computer work for now - prepping the drawings in photoshop and learning new stopmotion animation software.

This morning we took a couple of the puppets out to breakfast with us and they had a lovely time frolicking about in the world.

We were also featured on the ComiXology blog, and gave them an exclusive video of Molly drawing and talking about the giant paper city we are building. We'll be giving them more updates as production progresses. Read more and watch the video here: ComiXology Blog

A huge thank you once more to all of you who have helped us reach this moment! You're the best.

Here's a quick video video of the celebrations.
